WarSales Seller Guidelines

Seller Guidelines

WarSales is built on trust. These guidelines exist to protect buyers, sellers, and the reputation of the marketplace. All sellers are required to follow them as a condition of using the platform.

Core Principles

✓ Describe items accurately

Listings must reflect the true condition, origin and nature of the item. Inaccurate or misleading descriptions — including overstating condition, misattributing provenance, or omitting known damage or repairs — are a violation of these guidelines and grounds for listing removal.

✓ Use real photos of the actual item

Photos must show the exact item being sold, taken by the seller. Stock photos, catalogue scans or images borrowed from reference books are not permitted as the primary listing image. Additional reference images may be included in the description but must be clearly labelled as such.

✓ Respond to buyers promptly

Sellers are expected to respond to buyer enquiries within 48 hours. Repeated non-responsiveness can result in account warnings or restrictions.

✓ Ship promptly and communicate delays

Once a sale is agreed, ship within a reasonable timeframe (5 business days is the expected standard). If there is a delay, notify the buyer through the platform messaging system immediately.

✓ Keep all communication on the platform

Buyers and sellers must keep all negotiation and transaction communication within the WarSales messaging system. This protects both parties and creates a verifiable record.

Prohibited Items

The following items may not be listed on WarSales under any circumstances:

Note on Third Reich / Nazi items: Items from the Third Reich era may be listed for historical research and collecting purposes. All such listings automatically receive a contextual disclaimer. Sellers are responsible for ensuring the sale of such items is legal in their jurisdiction and the buyer's jurisdiction. Items that cross the line from historical artefact to promotion of Nazi ideology will be removed without warning.
